Selecting the material to be machined<\/strong> is the first important step in enabling us to manufacture high-quality turning inserts. Taking into account their chemical and physical properties, we classified the different materials according to their ISO families<\/strong>, namely steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous materials, hardened materials and superalloys. We then manufactured inserts with specific grades.<\/p>\n

Selecting the desired machining operation<\/span><\/strong> was the second step that enabled our team to produce high-quality turning inserts. This stage is critical for two reasons, one being to reduce the margin of error<\/strong>, and the other to ensure perfect application.<\/span><\/p>\n

To make sure the correct machining operation was chosen, the options were broken down into three separate groups: finishing<\/strong>, roughing<\/strong> and medium machining<\/strong>. Specific geometries and hardnesses<\/strong> were then allocated to each one.<\/p>\n

A later stage which influenced the choice of inserts was that of the coating<\/strong>. To find the most suitable coating, we collaborated with some of our partners who have state-of-the-art technologies for PVD and CVD coating<\/strong>.
