At Sharp Metal Srl, we’ve been operating in the carbide inserts industry for over 10 years throughout Italy, but also around the world, specialising in their design and custom production.
But these years of experience are not the only ones to have made our company’s foundations so strong. We inherited those of the previous business, for a grand total of almost one hundred years of experience. The expertise handed down to us not only allowed us to make Italy’s only insert producer a success again, but has also enabled us at Sharp Metal to broaden our scope of application, with a catalogue of over 3000 products and the possibility of adding precision tools for machining operations.
Our success is also the result of ongoing investment in new resources and increasingly cutting-edge and innovative machinery, as well as close collaboration with over 250 partners. The combination of these factors has been key not only in improving the production of inserts, but also and especially in meeting the real needs of users, an objective that had never been achieved before.

History
The history of Sharp Metal dates back to 2013. But our company acquired the experience and expertise left to us from 80 years of previous business, and this allowed us to achieve our goal of breathing life back into Italy’s only insert producer.

Our company is 100% Italian. By this we mean it undergoes regular checks that provide all our customers with the guarantee that the production cycle resulting in the manufacture of their inserts was carried out solely in Italy.
